Can't blame the productOct 25, 2011

It smells and looks beautiful, but unless/until you try 100% cacao, you'll have no idea how bitter/tart it is. So I ate a piece with a dried date and found it to be VERY good. I tried my hand at making my own chocolate from this block. In hindsight, there were many things I could have done differently (it was gritty as the sugar hadn't dissolved enough), but amazingly, regardless of my haphazard efforts, the chocolate was STILL VERY GOOD. I definitely give that credit to the quality of the cacao (and other ingredients) more so than my confection-making skills. Also the package is actually (3) 1-kilo blocks instead of 1 big block.
