Description:

Award-winning Boyajian citrus oils are all-natural essences, cold-pressed from the rind of the fruit. Extracts and flavorings don't come close to the remarkable intensity of these oils. It takes approximately 220 oranges, 330 lemons or 40 limes to fill a 5-oz. bottle of oil. These versatile oils may be used sparingly in place of peel or zest, or for savory dishes, sauces, fish, poultry, vinaigrettes, marinades, breads, pastry creams, dessert mousse, chocolate ganaches and glazes, citrus curds, cakes, butter creams and candies.

5Simply No ComparisonMar 22, 2011
By The Muffin Man
I have tried many lime, as well as other citrus oils, over the years and have never found anything that competes with the quality of this product. It truly captures the lime zest flavor that bakers like myself are looking for. On top of baking, I use it for marinades and to flavor my favorite cocktails. I highly recomend this product to anyone who is looking for that "perfect" citrus flavor to add to any dish or drink.

5Delicious!Feb 22, 2012

I first started using Boyajian oils at one of my baking jobs. These are amazing and add such great flavor to our baked goods - especially cheesecakes! Be careful not to use too much, as it can add a sort of fake flavor. But used in the right amounts these are great!

5Lime Freak!Jan 26, 2013
By Laura J. Johnson
I love key lime pies very tart and tangy, but I haven't been happy with my lime desserts since I ran out of this company's product. Using just the zest of fresh limes doesn't have enough zing for my taste buds. I would use the zest AND the oil together. And if you hate the chore of zesting a lime, you can easily say goodbye to that job and just use the oil. I can't remember exactly how much I used per pie--doesn't seem like it took too much to satisfy me, but then I would also use the zest in my food. Recommended amounts are listed on this site and I'm sure on the bottle or box of the lime oil. Though I think you will have to expertment a bit with how much you want to use in your cooking.

I just discovered that Amazon sells my beloved natural LIME oil by itself in a 5oz. bottle! When I tried this product previously from a speciality food catalog the package contained three 3 oz. bottles of lemon, orange, and lime. While the lemon and orange oils are very fine products themselves, I didn't need nearly as much of those two oils. But if you are interested in trying all three flavors, I've noticed Amazon sells that combo too, along with individual 5 oz. bottles of orange and lemon. As for me I'm a lime freak and will be ordering the 5 oz. bottle of lime oil ASAP. I'm thinking margeritas at the moment. Oh, the possibilities!

As an after thought, I'll probably order the 3oz. combo, too, for those times when I DO feel like making a tartier lemon bar or an orange flavored butter cream frosting. Yum! But delighted am I, to find the LIME oil again!
