Best sea salt I've found so far...Nov 07, 2010
By grniditaln I love this sea salt! It has the smoothest flavor of any that I've tried so far, and I've tried quite a few. There is no sharp bite or bitter aftertaste. It enhances the flavor in a subtle , yet robust way. What I love most about this salt is the texture-- it is light and flaky, but still offers a nice crunch and burst of flavor in your mouth. It does not automatically dissolve on contact with the food and looks very attractive on the plate. It's beautiful on top of chocolates at the end of a meal, too. I do generally prefer the "wet" sea salts, but when you combine the flavor and texture of Maldon's salt it functionally exceeds any of the salts out there.

Salt of the EarthOct 13, 2009

I love Maldon salt. I discovered it when we visited England and had carefully hoarded my box until my daughter, when visiting England brought me back a box.
Maldon salt is large square bowls of salt mixed with big broken chunks, perfect for on top of bread or vegetables.
This box will last a very long time making it a very affordable luxury.

I love Maldon Sea Salt, and so does my daughter, this particular lot of salt was our daughter, and she was thrilled. None of us use a lot of salt, but a little Maldon Salt adds some wonderful things to most dishes.
