Best oil I discovered in ItalyOct 22, 2010

Monini is a relatively small company compared to the giants like Bertolli, but their D.O.P. olive oils are top-notch products. I prefer the Amabile Umbria regional oil as the most flavorful and unique. There are other regional like the Toscano I.G.P. that are also excellent, if you like gourmet olive oil as an accent for salads, fresh and grilled vegetables, you can't go wrong with either of these oils.
There are also gourmet California olive oils are have comparable quality, but they usually cost more than $30 per .5 liter. You can usually find the Monini oils for between $17-$20 on Amazon or other web vendors.
