Volpi prosciutto, made in the USA, is the product of a long, unhurried drying process lasting a minimum of 210 days. Great for cooking with or for sandwiches were a less expensive prosciutto is called for.

By Irine Gibilisco I have bought both american and italian made prosciutto in the past. Volpi Boneless is a great find, because I prefer to have less white fat on it and more red meat. The texture is very mild and not stringy, and similar to more expensive imported brands. It is not too salty and appears to be very well cured. I will definitely buy Volpi Boneless Prosciutto brand again.
